Yakima River Headwaters TU February Meeting

Please join us for our second public meeting at The Brick, in Roslyn WA at 7 PM on Wednesday, Feb. 18th. We have a special presentation from Gabe Parr, a TU volunteer and leader from Oregon who has been instrumental and inspired a community of conservation work for the Deschutes and other nearby rivers & streams.

We will also be reviewing the steps and formal documents for submitting our Chapter to the WA Council for charter.

Committee members and chair positions will also be discussed and positions may be established to begin building our community of conservationists in the Headwaters.

  • Communications - this committee is responsible for the chapter web-site and newsletter
  • Membership - responsible for membership services, lists, and efforts to recruit and retain members
  • Education - responsible for education programs and youth activities
  • Conservation - responsible for activities and projects that directly support TU's conservation agenda
  • Financial Development - responsible for chapter fundraising
  • Nominating - this committee shall assist the Board of Directors and officers with leadership development and submit a slate of candidates for elections

Also joining us will be Darcy Batura, from the Yakima Basin Fish and Wildlife Recovery Board to discuss grant opportunities to fund recovery and conservation projects for the Chapter to engage in.

All ages are welcome at The Brick, we meet in the lower room "Family Section" and not in the saloon. Individuals are responsible for their own tabs and reciepts for ordering food and beverages.
